Over the years, the demand for mass produced beds changed the manufacturing of the once individually created wooden bed to encompass veneered finishes for the beds leaving the once adored pine and wood beds a part of history. The newer styles of beds resulted in lighter and less bulky bedroom furniture.

Throughout the years, the desire for the wooden beds returned opening the bedroom furniture market back to the beloved strong sturdy wooden beds. The development of stained antique appearing pine furniture became a demand by consumers. The wooden beds with the spindles and the warm colored antique stain were seen in bedrooms in every home.
