It is also consumed in other nations like Japan, Korea and Asia. The green tea is known to be less prone to heart attacks and it keeps you young and healthy. It is also known to protect from cancer and other hazardous diseases. The green tea keeps the metabolic rate normal and does not increase it. It gives long term health benefits. This tea contains polyphenols and other minerals like zinc, chromium and manganese.
Green Tea is also a source of Vitamin C as it contains ascorbic acid. It helps in reducing the cholesterol levels, kidney stones and improves the bone density. There have been several scientific studies made to compare green tea with other kind of teas. It has also been claimed in the studies that this tea contain more proportion of caffeine equivalent to what is found in coffee which can result in nausea and other diseases. It is prepared in different stages and is known by different names in different parts of the world.
